Born in Valle de Santiago in Guanajuato, Mexico, Javier Garcia established Garcia’s Auto Service in 2002, with the help and support of his family. Garcia is passionate about his profession and he takes great pleasure in “being his own boss.”

Today, Garcia’s Auto Service offers a wide array of automotive services, “such as brake systems, clutch, maintenance, repairing of motors and diagnosis.”

Among the difficulties that Garcia faced in establishing his business were economic hardships and the language barrier, having to survive the devastating 2008 recession as well as having to learn English. However, with the help of his two sons and the active support of his entire family, Garcia’s business has survived, and continues to thrive. “Pretty soon I will have the opportunity to expand my business,” he says eagerly.

Garcia feels proud that he is able to serve Latinos, providing services for the community who has given him so much and allowed his business to flourish. “We are always happy to help you,” offers Garcia. And to future generations, he adds, “Do not be afraid, and be persistent. You can do anything if you are decisive and persevere.”

Entre las dificultades a las que Garcia tuvo que enfrentarse al crear su negocio estaban las dificultades económicas y la barrera del idioma, teniendo que sobrevivir a la recesión devastadora del 2008, así como también tener que aprender inglés. Sin embargo, con la ayuda de sus dos hijos y el apoyo activo de toda su familia, el negocio de Garcia ha sobrevivido y continúa prosperando. “Dentro de poco tendré la oportunidad de expandir mi negocio,” dice ilusionado.

Garcia se siente orgulloso de poder ayudar a los latinos, dando servicios a la comunidad que tanto le ha dado y permitido que su negocio floreciera. “Siempre estamos felices de ayudarles,” ofrece Garcia. Y para futuras generaciones, añade, “No tengan miedo, y sean persistentes. Pueden hacer lo que sea si son decididos y perseverantes.”
